Banner Sponsor Program

by on August 20, 2012

As San Diego’s original Urban neighborhood, Hillcrest features a wide variety of booming businesses where visitors and the growing residential community can Eat. Shop. Play. Stay! If you’re interested in locals and visitors alike seeing your name and your brand on the streets of Hillcrest, the HBA has an opportunity for you.

An example of local banner that will hang in the streets of Hillcrest with your logo on it!

Our neighborhood continues to bring a diverse group of people to enjoy it’s cityscape daily. With a number of weekly and annual events, Hillcrest experiences heavy foot traffic.

The Hillcrest Business Association (HBA) has launched the Street Banner Sponsor Program to benefit Hillcrest by adding (more!) color and character while increasing the public’s opportunity for awareness of the important goings on in Hillcrest.

The banner program allows eligible partners the opportunity to showcase their business as a community sponsor at various high trafficked locations throughout the neighborhood.

The HBA’s Banner Program:

  • Activates the public space
  • Adds color and vitality to our buzzing streets
  • Publicizes the array of fabulous events and activities that bring people to Hillcrest
  • Is a cost-effective way to convey your message

As a business owner in Hillcrest, you are eligible and receive priority consideration to sponsor our special events banners throughout the year and the prime location of your choice:

UNIVERSITY AVENUE
Running through the heart of Hillcrest, and virtually impossible to avoid, University Avenue gets an average of 25,000 passerby’s daily!

WASHINGTON STREET
On Washington St. between Front St. & 6th Ave sees anywhere from 35,000-40,000 people on average daily. A street banner on Washington is sure to be seen!

ROBINSON AVENUE
A neighborhood secret– Robinson will get you across Hillcrest with less traffic. Robinson is quietly passed by 12,000 vehicles a day.

4th, 5th, & 6th AVENUES
The ‘scenic route’ to and from Hillcrest, connecting passerby’s to Downtown, and Mission Hills. Your sponsored banner will be seen by 15,000-25,000 people each day.

PARK BOULEVARD
The eastern most artery in Hillcrest starts Downtown, heads North past San Diego’s beloved Zoo, into Hillcrest and beyond. Park Boulevard sees a daily average of 13,000 people.

Hillcrest’s seasonal banners represent the neighborhood year-long. And for as little as $350 you can choose from 60 banners, 30 of which are double banners, and all of which are on 7 different high trafficked Hillcrest streets.

Your sponsored banner will stay up year round, while our events change with the Hillcrest seasons. From Hillcrest Mardi Gras, to LGBT Pride, the Hillcrest Farmers Market, Hillcrest Hoedown, SHOP Hillcrest for the Holidays, and BEYOND!

Measuring at 30” x 12”, your logo will be placed under our seasonal banners, about 1 1/2 stories above the streets of Hillcrest – the best height for pedestrians and automotive traffic to see it.

This exclusive neighborhood program begins May 1, 2012 and will run through April 30, 2013.
Rates start at $350 for a single side of a banner pole for your logo, artwork or message of choice to be printed, in full color, front & back and hang in Hillcrest for 1 year.

For double banner placement, $600.
