Pride Plaza Donor Paver Program
Buy a part of History and have your name at the Promenade forever!
The Normal Street Promenade and Pride Plaza construction has begun and in 2026 Hillcrest’s new public plaza will be available for everyone to use and enjoy. You can be part of his historic plaza and have your name engraved in stone in perpetuity. Donor pavers are available for purchase with several options including paver size, location, and sponsorship for a community leader.
Sale of the pavers will be used to cover things that are not in the construction budget such as cafe style seating, gardening services, equipment, and replacement of softscape elements such as shade structures and banners. The funds will also kick start the management and operations of the Promenade through the creation of the Friends of the Promenade nonprofit. The City and SANDAG have budgeted no money for the ongoing maintenance of Pride Plaza so it’s up to us. All donations to the Normal Street Promenade are tax deductible.
Select the paver option you’d like to purchase below relative to the location of the flag. Once you select the area you’d like to purchase, you’ll be able to select the size and number of tiles you’d like to purchase.
Allowable symbols include: The ampersand “&”, Star of David, Cross, “=” symbol, “+” symbol, Five Point Star, Heart, Paw Print, Crescent and Star. The following symbols are not permitted: “@”, "#”, ”$”, asterisk “*”.
